Greetings bloggers, well we start the New Year with the business as usual by Military mouthpieces and its nice to hear from Driti, especially since his fast track promotion to a one-star general.

Driti’s rationale when accusing Shamima Ali of hypocrisy when she objected to Night Clubs remaining open until 5am was on the flimsy basis that since many of her donor countries legalize Night Clubs to open to 5am, she’s a hypocrite for opposing the illegal regime in doing the same.

Driti  should think carefully before scoring cheap points because Australia for instance does have Night Clubs remaining open until 5am. However,  Australia has a legally elected government, whereas you Driti, your military colleagues and boss Bainimarama don’t as you have usurped constitutional power from the lawfully elected PM Laisenia Qarase.

Now turning to this statement, he sounds so hallow when trying to foolishly guarantee stability in Fiji, when it is they the military together with a handful of business people who caused and continues to cause great instability in Fiji today!

He knows what he is saying is all lies because if he truly believed the great majority of people in Fiji believe what is happening is in accordance with the military’s expectations, then why continue to have a retinue of bodyguards for the illegal President,  all illegal Cabinet Ministers and Military Officers!

Look at his underlying threat I have underlined for emphasis! So we can expect more human right abuses at the Delainabua Barracks by these ferocious and brave Fijian soldiers who have to cover their faces with balaclava when terrorising their innocent and harmless victims!

You want to know Driti, how stability can return to Fiji? Resign your unmerited one-star general commission, hand yourself in and publically admit your erroneous ways and treasonous act!

The Fiji Military Forces Land Force Commander Brigadier Pita Driti has assured that the military will ensure a stable and peaceful Fiji in 2010.

Rejected High Commissioner nominee to Malaysia and incompetent Land Force Commander Brig. General Pita Driti.

In an interview with FBC News Driti says 2010 will be a favorable year for the country.

“As land Force commander I would like to reassure every citizen of this country who love Fiji – that year 2010 will be very stable – very peaceful one and I would urge everyone to aim for their own personal goals and ambitions because I can see light at the end of the tunnel things are going to be very favorable this year.”

Brigadier Driti also issued a stern warning to anyone trying to destabilize the nation, saying they should remember who is in control.

“It is clear that everything is now up to our expectations. As a member of the Military council and Interim government I know that majority of our citizens do agree with that – and there are only a few people who could term as adversaries – but I would discourage them from doing anything and I would like to tell them to keep low and try to cooperate with us in trying to maintain peace otherwise they will be in for something really hard in terms of how we will treat them this year.”

    Goodmorning Bloggers,

Dina kece Tui. And he is urging the people of Fiji to aim for their personal goals !!!!who is he trying to fool ? There is no direction for the people of Fiji in what Bainimarama and his illegal regime has done to our beloved Fiji. For instance, their own children who wishes to prusue further studies or rugby career in NZ or Aust, cannot have their goals fulfilled because of the current ban imposed.

One should ask him what signals he is seeing that gives him the certainty that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Whilst promising stability, in the end he is threatening by reminding people that the military is controlling the people of Fiji with the barrel of the gun and will continue to detain and persecute innocent people and even harsher …what is harsher than stripping off your clothes and made to sit under the sun from morning till dawn and then washed with dirty water from the pigs sty……not a well thought out speech Driti…

@ maiviti: The likes of Driti are unable to deliver a “well thought out speech” because they operate on opportunism and in the interests of self-survival as a primary concern. (They’re all so very brave and noble – NOT!)
But its a phenomenon that’s now inherent in the RFMF and the junta and its apologists. Even the academics that occasionally provide their wise analysis (often from the safety of a cushy little number offshore) regularly put their fingers up to test which way the wind is blowing. There’s a pathetic little line of them (many living in Auckland, NZ) with a few lining up to join them – most of who worry about whether the unstable Frank is going to turn on them and decide a quick exit is a better option.
Bubba and the Shameens could even take credit for popularising the whole phenomenon. Injustice Gates can take credit for trying to codify it as normal and legal.
Actually all they’re good at is artistic plagiarism using bullshit, crocodileshit and anything else spent as their medium of expression.
Hold a principle until it becomes inconvenient, then lie, obfuscate, manipulate, point a gun, overthrow, and do anything to maintain your position EVEN at the expense of an entire population of a nation if necessary.
Now I call that cowardly and dishonest – even when you don’t actually have to tell lies.
Each and every one of them has a higher opinion of themsleves than does the rest of us, and were it not for the threat of the gun, it could be put to the test.
    Brave and Noble aye?
MOST think not! They should stop fooling themselves.

The promise of stability to be achieved under threats to life and well being of the peoples of Fiji shows the depth of understanding this man Driti has for what is happening in Fiji.Funny that the threats are directed at women first and then… but we must not forget that this man Driti is synonymous with abusing women and torturing them also. As for the population to keep low I must remind Driti that the people in Fiji might listen to him because he has guns but we the Fijians outside Fiji will be very vocal against the Illegal regime and their illegal activities and Driti cannot do anything about it.

Well this brute continues to reveal just how shallow he truly is.

I feel sorry for the victims who will face the brutality of this thug, but one thing is for sure, Driti like his henchmen will all face the gallows one day and it will be interesting to see how he will fare up alongside his ‘brave men’!

BTW, Happy New Year Bolggers and welcome back!

When the thugs like Driti get caught they will “find” the Lord Jesus and excuse themselves. Then they will get their yellow ribbons and start all over again.

Bula Vinaka Tui and Happy New To You and Your Family!

It is not Driti alone that sounds hollow when trying to guarantee stability in Fiji. The statement includes the rest of them from the illegally elected President down to the idiots that still think Frank’s self proclaimed Govt is doing the children of Fiji ( Fiji’s Future ) any good!

    One word for them “VAKASISILA”
