Josefa Iloilo, tamata macawa!

August 9, 2009

Yadra bloggers, what will happen to Josefa Iloilo after retiring from the Presidency? My advice to Oz and NZ, please cut the crap and face up to the reality in Fiji. The only reason Iloilo retired is because he has become a liability and dispensable. This criminal should not be allowed back into Australia!

How can PM Rudd and FO Minister Smith justify allowing Iloilo into the country for medical treatment, when he was responsible for abrogating Fiji’s 1997 Constitution and committed treason?

Chaudary committed a more serious criminal offence than Christopher Skase and Allan Bond, yet he is allowed to roam free in NSW! As I said in an earlier post, after Qarase agreed to put out a joint communique with Chaudary, “at what cost?” Why the double standards?

I ask PM Rudd and Foreign Affairs Minister Smith, how can you allow Chaudary back into this country? This is the same man who fleeced Indians of millions and voluntarily joined Franks illegal junta in 2007.

I also want to  ask the NSW Police Prosecution to investigate Chaudary under the relevant Crimes Confiscation Act in accordance with the above allegations?  If not, why not?

Tui Savu.

    Bula Tui
well, I’ve never heard you so openly passionate about things before and I’m guessing it’s a sign of your frustration at the delay in bringing an end to this whole charade of Frank Bainimarama’s.
But where I don’t understand and don’t have the patience for the way islanders ever so slowly go about bringing a resolution to a conflict, equally with you Tui, I don’t understand either, the European way of making so many allowances to and concessions for, the very people who have created, played key major roles in and are responsible for that which has happened in Fiji !
But I can be objective, I’m not an Islander, though I have friends and relatives who are and have been involved with them for 37 years now, I am not a Solicitor nor a Politician, but can see the roles each has to play.
Any legal avenue should be used to bring about Frank and Co.’s demise and every Political effort should be made to bring about a sustained peaceful resolution.
John F. Kennedy, in 1962, had to use Diplomacy with the Russian President, and because he was wise, he averted a nuclear war and so began the arms reduction, which was replaced by a race to the moon.
I believe that Kevin Rudd is using Diplomacy by allowing the Fiji President and Mr. Chaudhry to enter Australia.
It is an act of humanity to Mr. Chaudhry’s wife who is sick with cancer and a mark of respect to a Head of State of a neighbouring Nation.
I don’t believe for one moment, that their entry into Australia should be seen as an act of weakness, but rather an act of kindness, humility and Diplomacy.
The benefits to the Fijians, will, I hope, far out way the disadvantages.
This should be seen for what it is, an olive branch by the Australian Government and a Diplomatic gesture to try and broker a way forward and out of this mess Fiji finds itself in at this time in its history.
So, don’t despair, just look at this action as a means unto an end and pray that it will help.

Thank you Mark. Compassion is what Fiji’s regime is lacking.

Lets pray that Mrs Chaudhry recovers from her illness and that every act of kindness and love be extended to her from the Aussies.

Bitterness and political vengence is cancerous to the soul. Forgiveness and moral empathy brings redemption of the soul. God love is precious. Cheers.

Indeed, you were president at the time of yr retirement; but only for the regime, NOT for all of Fiji. The rest of us lost our real president in December 2006.

And here we are still asking… “what about us?” !!!

    @vinaka KUKA

e dua ga na ka keimami sega ni madua taka keimami lomani koya, and we will always be there for him regardless. Kevaka e kilai na Turaga na Ka Levu in the West than why wasn’t he chosen or nominated by the GCC to be Pressie, we would have really supported that too,for me personally even if it was any chief from the west i would whole heartedly support them too, it just so happened that he was nominated by the GCC so be it.

Your comment” na tutu vaka Tui Vuda e sega ni tutu cecere “is your opinion, we think otherwise. Vinaka~

    Let him go to Oz!

You don’t seriously think the Australians will grant him free access to their shores without getting their pound of flesh do you?

They will grill Iloilo HARD about why he did what he did and perhaps even extract a confession from him (I didn’t abrogate constitution it was all FRANK) 😉

    cheers Viti!

The headline on this thread may sound insulting; but boy, dont we mean it!

Though he is now out of office, and going, gone, into retirement; those of us he disregarded, must not allow him to rest. Let the cry of the majority forever ring in his ears.. what about us?

    tulou koya na momo.. !

I honestly hate him and am disgusted with what he has done. I know that Christian principles should be my guide…that I forgive him. In time, I hope to do that but I will always regard his time in office as a BIG FAILURE.

We cannot positive-think our way out of the TRUTH.
