It doesn’t matter what tourist think of fiji. It is a dangerous place to be. Do not trust security. They are corrupt and hiding from the truth. The political climate are at boiling points. People are frustrated and anything can trigger them to commit crime due to continue frustration. This is a message from a person so pissed off with job cuts and life in fiji.

There is a lot of sense in such a “campaign”.

You bring the economy down, so too goes the means for Bainimarama’s personal real estate expansion and bankrolling of his militia thugs. The economy is Bainimarama’s achilles heel — that is why he is trying ever so valiantly to save tourism and the sugar industry. If he really cared all he has to do is step down and call for elections.

No one asked (or voted in) Bainimarama or his henchmen to worry about election candidates or reforms — this is a job for the people who must pick how they want to be governed. Instead he is trying to shove his “vision” for a new Fiji down our throats — Pah! to hell with that.

And BTW Bainimarama even WITHOUT this campaign in effect has done a marvellous job of fcuking up the economy anyway — let’s not blame everything on the global recession folks….a devaluation should never have been an option.

There are concerns about the everyday people. These are valid. But let’s not kid ourselves when the economic house of cards come a-tumbling down, the grassroots own access to the basics such as food and will be far better off then the elites who still depend on the supermarkets. If the elites are ready to take on such impacts then let the campaign begin!
