Politicians to be blamed

April 17, 2009

Folks, Daniel Urai a great benefactor of the 2006 coup is trying to put the blame for Fiji’s woes on Qarase, beddoes and Rae! How ironic when after the 1987 coup, Mahendra Chaudary went on a crusade and asked Australia and the world to boycott and place sanctions on Fiji. Furthermore, Chodo and group continued to resist Rabuka all the way because they truly felt they were robbed of their rightful inheritance. So why is Qarase, Beddoes and Rae at fault?

The Fiji Trades Union Congress says various leaders of the main stream political parties such as Laisenia Qarase, Pramod Rae and Mick Beddoes should never come back into politics in Fiji.

Congress national president Daniel Urai says these three leaders failed to help move the country forward over the last three years when they were given all opportunities to work with the PM.

Urai says Bainimramara even went to the extent of inviting them to participate in dialogue processes – but these three leaders continue to work on their own agenda.

“Yes it is unfortunate the NCBBF gave opportunity to all different political parties and their leaders to seek dialogue pave the way forward, they were free to indicate their views whether one agrees what was submitted through the NCBBF or not, it was ban opportunity given for us to move ourselves forward, unfortunately there were politicians and political leaders who though more of themselves than of moving this country forward, there was an opportunity where everyone would have worked in line of NCBBF and election would have happened much earlier than the five years.”

Urai says the people have now seen the true colors of these leaders already.

    Daniel Urai

Your version of “working together” translates to “agreeing with everything Fiji’s Thugs have proposed, are proposing, stand to propose”

Dan Urai – The International Trades Union Congress has denounced the illegal regime.
Trade Unionism is about protecting the rights of workers through the Rule of Law. This illegal regime is diametrically opposed to those beliefs.
You may want to kid yourself, Urai, but don’t even try to fool us.
    God bless Fiji
