Police crusade moves north – talk about misguided priorities says SWM!

February 5, 2009

Bloggers, with crime continuing to rise in Fiji and it facing its worst natural & self inflicted disaster, unbelievably ketepoka Teleni continues with his ‘crusuades!’ As they say, ‘only in Fiji.’ It is a joke and it clearly shows these idiots have absolutely no idea how to run a country or prioritise their objectives! Imagine, desolate families wanting basic amenities restored to them now have to wait, whilst the men in blue do ‘action songs’, unfortunately they will have to wait because these ‘action songs’ are aimed at converting the Police in the North first before they outreach to the poor and needy. So crime will continue until the Police in the North are ‘converted’, but shouldn’t they be trying to ‘convert the criminals instead, UNLESS  they are criminals themselves???’  What do you think bloggers?

THE police evangelism outreach in the north will start with police officers.

Divisional Manager Community Policing Northern Simione Bale said crusades have already been planned to be held in police compounds in the division.

I would suggest that the evagelism process begin from the top (leaders- turaga kei na marama ni ovisa) first before filtering down to the bottom. Normally evangelism uses a top down approach if it wants to succeed. Me ra veisau rawa mada na veiliutaka mai cake e ra na qai veisau na kena e ra. This approach is a Nazi approach and one that ought to be killed immediately. Anyway its the way of a dictator and it shouldn’t surprise many of us.

Ketepoka Teleni reliance on God does not mean that you ignore the cause and effect of the problem.

Go and wash your sins and those of your criminal buddies first and perhaps God may take a slight notice of your ridiculous crusade.

I recently watched a DVD of Teleni telling people in Suva about his being chosen by God to be the Police Commissioner , it was interesting to note that no one behind him , was smiling !
This poor deluded idiot doesn’t even realise he’s headed for jail , even though many , including his own son , have warned him that he is not trained to do this job .

    & MM,

Teleni is living in denial like his boss Vore and he is trying to convince himself that he never did anything wrong. I bet, he very much like his boss is finding it very hard to sleep at night because their conscience will not give them any peace!

We’ve decided to let the Police take over the job of the Church Ministers , the Military to take over the job of the Police , the Navy to take over the job of the Military , the Commander of the RFMF to take over the Prime Minster’s job , the Prime Minister to take over the President’s job , the President to take over head of the Great Council of Chiefs job , the Great Council of Chiefs to take over the job of ? we haven’t worked that out yet , the Commissioner of Police job to be taken over by a Colonel of the Military , the Navy to be taken over by a Prisoner , Foreign Affairs to be taken over by a an incompetent Lawyer pretending to be an Attorney General , the Chief Justice to be taken over by a man of questionable integrity , and so on .

I can just imagine them pondering the thought of sharing a cell with George right now and waiting for that knock on their doors in the dead of night as the ghosts of the CRW soldiers murdered in 2000 float around them while they try and sleep .

    @MM & Na Vosa

Totally agree. Teleni should not fool himself to believe that by supporting his brother in the crusade, his filth for the misappropriation of funds when he was head of the Army’s Auxiliary Unit in 1987 and also in 2000 would be forgiven. Far from it. It will catch up on him one day. Furthermore for the illegal removal of the arms from the Suva wharf in 2006. Teleni is aware of the investigation against him but he continuously avoided interview when asked by police. He should confess to his officers that he received money to stop police investigation against the military. Teleni is corrupt. Ponipate Lesavua and Manoa Ratinisiwa should investigate this corrupt ketepoka.

When will this idiots get off?

Teleni, using treason as a weapon to overthrow an elected govt will not do you any good, let alone lead a crusade to make honest individuals out of them.

I don’t think Teleni yet realises you can’t call on God to bless something illegal.

The huge worry for me is the possible falsification of crime stats or under-reporting to refelct a false Utopia, when we see deteriorating social order played out in front of us in real time.

On us is the responsibility to educate the nation regarding their subconscious or unconscious minds particularly when it comes to social or political issues that has thus far not been conducive to the development nor advancement of our country.

While the nation of Fiji have been beset and subjected to all types indignities by the very people that are meant to protect them they are now confronted with someone’s hallucinations of mass evangelisation of the police force.

Although the people of Fiji are resilient and will surface above all ills they may not survive this latest attempt by this demented fool, as such the police force currently are nonfeasance in fact the people are worse off under this megalomaniac.

It is not the souls of the Policemen/Women that needs saving it’s the sick souls of those that have inflicted misery on the nation.

The police force needs leadership they need guidance among other things they are in dire need of re-education on how to conduct and investigate all crimes all the while adhering to all rights afforded to all offenders within the constitution and not pervert the cause of justice nor inhuman treatment.

This guy really believes he will do good.

I agree IB the denial that all is well is a problem.

Our people are in an unfortunate situation and are vulnerable to people like Teleni.

You are right OjO these people need leadership and guidance from those qualified to give it to them and not from one with the no knowledge what so ever in what he is doing.

    Crusade brings peace, says Teleni

    2/5/2009 Fiji Sun

Evangelical crusades have made Fiji a peaceful country, says Police Commissioner Commodore Esala Teleni.
Speaking at a police crusade in Labasa last night, Mr Teleni said other countries thought Fijians were wasting their time on crusades.

“I don’t think so because my God brings changes and our country is a peaceful nation,” he said.

Mr Teleni promised that the crusade would change the image of the police force.

He said more blessings had come their way since they decided to seek God.

“We will continue on with the mission to bring up a new and much- improved police force,” he said.

Mr Teleni cautioned his officers not to drink a lot of kava.

“I don’t want the people to see grog cloths on your face but instead a face they can trust,” he said

“I don’t want the people to see grog cloths on your face….” he said.

Do you realize that this is the literal transalation of the Fijian vernacular “Mata vaka i sulu ni yaqona”.

Grog cloths on your face! Boy, how pathetic, and the Police Commissioner at that!
